Overview
The Behavioral Pharmacy Management System assists state mental health and Health Net agencies to improve behavioral health prescribing practices for Health Net recipients with psychiatric illnesses. The BPM interventions are consultative and educational aiming to impart knowledge of best practice in the pharmacological treatment of mental disorders.
Goals
- Improve the quality of behavioral health prescribing practice based on best-practice guidelines;
- Improve patient adherence to medication plans;
- Reduce the rate of spending on Health Net behavioral drugs; and
- Improve the cost effectiveness of behavioral health treatments.
