March 7-9: PATHWAYS CONFERENCE - Serving Students At-Risk on Their Path to Success

March 8-10: SPAN USA's 2010 Legislative Institute
Washington, DC

This event, sponsored by the Suicide Prevention Action Network (SPAN) USA, provides survivors, "grassroots" suicide prevention advocates, clinicians, community leaders, and researchers an opportunity to gather and remember those lost to suicide, receive training on suicide prevention, postvention and advocacy topics, and visit members of Congress to educate them about suicide and suicide prevention. The 21st Annual Mental Health Awareness Day will be held at the Missouri State Capitol and feature events for consumers, professionals and advocates. Check back for details.

May 2: Kids Walking for Kids - A Celebration of Hope
St. Louis, Missouri

A walk to raise funds for early-onset depression research and to honor those that have lost their lives to suicide, regardless of their age. For details visit the CHADS Coalition website.

May 21 & 22: Suicide Bereavement Support Groups facilitator training

July 29 & 30: Show Me You Care About Suicide Prevention Conference

September 10: World Suicide Prevention Day

World Suicide Prevention Day is held on September 10 each year as an initiative of the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP), and is co-sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO).

 

September 12: 7th Annual Remembrance Walk
Kansas City, Missouri
