Call to Order |
John Constantino, Chair called the meeting of the Missouri State Mental Health Commission to order at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2006. The meeting was held via conference call at the Department of Mental Health, 1706 E. Elm Street, Director's Office, Jefferson City. |
Budget |
Patty Henry, Budget Administrator presented and lead discussions on the following:
The Commission determined that Decision Item 016 ranking - CMHC & FQHC Collaboration - be moved to the rank of 011. This item request funding to allow the Department to work with the community health centers to develop a pilot at seven sites of integrated preventative healthcare and ongoing management, including both mental illness and physical care services, through a collaborative process to target the uninsured population. At Family Practice Physician or Nurse practitioner from a FQHC will be placed at a CMHC site to outreach for primary medical services particularly clients at risk for co-morbid physical health chronic diseases. A quality mental Health Professional will be placed at a FQHC for screening, consultation, and brief treatment. |
Director Selection Process |
There was discussion regarding the director selection process, finalizing dates for interviews and a Closed Executive Session conference call was scheduled for December 4, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. |
