System Transformation Initiative Workgroups |
The Division of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities is committed to partnering with a variety of stakeholders on the Systems Transformation Initiative, including persons with disabilities and family members,advocates, community agencies and other state agencies.
Workgroup History
In January, 2006 the Transformation Steering Committee developed a workgroup for each transformation goal. These workgroups were responsible for the creation of a strategic plan for their assigned Transformation Initiative goal. Each workgroup contained representatives from each of the stakeholder groups previously mentioned. Change and Innovation Agency (CIA) consultants led each workgroup through a series of meetings to complete Strategic Planning activities. Throughout January and February of 2006, the workgroups produced the objectives, strategies and action plans that make up the strategic plan. Their work was approved by the steering committee in March 2006. Current Workgroup Activities
Workgroup members continue to participate in various activities such as the Quality Assurance Advisory Group and the Department of Mental Health Transformation Inititiative. Transformation Initiative staff continue to communicate with workgroup members regarding progress towards outcomes, when there is a need for input or representation on various projects, by sending copies of reports made to CMS etc. Workgroups will be meeting in May 2008 and information regarding these meetings will be posted on this site.
