2007 Annual Report to CMS
The purpose of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee is to ensure implementation of the strategic plan.
The Steering Committee, comprised of MRDD System Stakeholders guided the developmant of the strategic plan, assisted with the development of the workgroups and provided workgroups with direction and clarification during the strategic planning process. The steering committee gave final approval to the Strategic Plan in March 2006. The steering committee continues to meet at least twice a year in order to:
- Ensure implementation of the strategic plan
- Ensure roles and responsibilities of accomplishing goals are clear
- Provide a link between MRDD and stakeholders to ensure interested parties are informed of progress
- Be a vehicle for stakeholders to communicate to MRDD
- Provide an official response to the Mental Health Leadership Workgroup
