Information Technology Services Division has the primary responsibility for information technology within the Department of Mental Health. Organizationally, it is divided into three groups: Software Services, Technical Services and Data Integrity.
Software Services maintains the department's Application Software services. These services include but are not limited to:
- Support of existing enterprise and central office software applications
- Analysis, design and development of new software applications
- Preparation and publishing of customer, management, decision and ad hoc informational needs
- Architecting of data for fast efficient end use
- Interagency software and data coordination
- Research and integration of new application engineering technology
- Internet and Intranet development and coordination
Technical Services provides technical leadership, support, and consultation to ITSD customers for:
- Internet
- Local and Wide Area Network services
- NT and other server maintenance, administration, and support
- Help Desk and PC Support
- Production Services support for several hardware platform environments (Windows NT/2000, AS/400, SP/2, and Mainframe)
- Data Base Administration of the many database systems currently in operation at the Department
- Insure consistency and correctness of data
- Resolve integration issues between systems and data
- Response to inquiries for explanation of data and concepts of DMH information
